Wellington High School - Te Kura Tuarua o Taraika ki Pukeahu is a co-educational, non-uniform school in the heart of Wellington City. We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced bilingual Teacher Aide to join our ESOL team. The languages we are looking to support are Somali and Urdu. Applicants should state the languages they can support.
The successful applicant will work with students across a range of subjects including English, Science and Maths, supporting their learning, responding to individual needs and liaising with teachers. This position will suit someone with experience of secondary education, and teaching and learning processes. Patience, a sense of humour, adaptability and a willingness to learn are important qualities.
Two positions are available for 10-15 hours each per week (two - three school days).
