At the core of Te Kura Tuarua o Taraika ki Pukeahu (WHS) are Whānau, Excellence, Respect and Ora. Applicants will be committed to continuing the prioritisation of Mātauranga Māori and joining our kura on its journey to being bicultural. We are a coeducational non-uniform school located on Pukeahu. We have a growing relationship with Te Atiawa which supports our kura’s access to the wider community of Te Whanganui-a-Tara, and its potential local curriculum.

We are looking for a suitably experienced and qualified teacher to join our team as Head of He Kākano, leading the programme for our ORS funded students, for the start of Term 1, 2026.

The successful applicant will be an experienced practitioner who is passionate about inclusive education. They will be able to support our students, continuing the development of our inclusive and supportive environment through their leadership of the He Kākano team. This person will be knowledgeable about learning support systems and ongoing resourcing and will have experience of working with students with different levels of learning support needs in the classroom.
