Maintenance Person


At the core of Te Kura Tuarua o Taraika ki Pukeahu (WHS) are Whānau, Excellence, Respect and Ora. We are a coeducational non-uniform school located on Pukeahu. We have a growing relationship with Te Atiawa which supports our kura’s access to the wider community of Te Whanganui-a-Tara. We work collaboratively and inclusively to inspire our community of active, connected and free-thinking learners.

To start in February 2026 we are looking for a maintenance person to join our property team. The successful applicant will be a skilled handyperson, who is enthusiastic, hardworking and adaptable. They will be able to contribute to the general maintenance and upkeep of the school's buildings and envrionment.

We hope to find a team player who is able to manage their own tasks proactively, working with Health and Safety at the forefront of everything they do. Someone who is a good communicator with a full drivers' licence. 

This is a permanent, full time position (40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year) governed by the terms of the School Caretakers’, Cleaners’, Canteen and Ground Staff Collective Agreement, Supervisor Caretaker Grade G2.
