Teacher Aide vacancy (ORS funded students) - educational technology expert

At the core of Te Kura Tuarua o Taraika ki Pukeahu (WHS) are Whānau, Excellence, Respect and Ora. Applicants will be committed to continuing the prioritisation of Mātauranga Māori and joining our kura on its journey to being bicultural. We are a coeducational non-uniform school located on Pukeahu. We have a growing relationship with Te Atiawa which supports our kura’s access to the wider community of Te Whanganui-a-Tara, and its potential local curriculum.

We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Teacher Aide to join our Learning Support team from January 2025. An important part of the role will be working with a student, supporting this student to work in the mainstream across a range of subjects. The successful applicant will support the student's learning, responding to individual needs and liaising with teachers.

This position will suit someone with experience of working with students whose ability to access the curriculum is dependent on advanced use of complex educational technologies. Patience, resilience, adaptability and a willingness to learn are important qualities.

This position is for 2 days per week (approx 11 hours per week), term-time only and is a permanent position.
